Ciao Serafino , letteralmente significa "superguscio". Ecco un'estratto di una pagina web dove viene spiagato cos'è (in inglese).
"Many nebulae are stellar nurseries, where hundreds of stars are born. These stars are of varying size and composition, and thus have very different lifespans. Over the course of millions of years, the larger stars supernova one by one. The close proximity of these supernovae creates an immense supernova remnant in the interstellar medium. This remnant, called a supershell or superbubble, the skin of which is the combined ejecta shockwave of the many supernovae. Superbubbles do not have much internal structure, which is not apparent from how they are described. Since supernovae occur millions of years apart, each supernova's shockwave catches up to the walls of the bubble well before the next supernova"
